If you haven’t heard about Twitter then you’ve probably been living under a rock… all predictions are that during 2009 Twitter is the social network to watch.
Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.
Updates are displayed on your profile page and delivered to others who have chosen to ‘follow’ your tweets.
Once you start twittering there are a lot of tools that you can use to follow and categorise tweets, pick up on latest topic specific tweets and find new twitterers to follow…..The Telegraph has produced a list of top 20 Twitter tools – the list is pretty comprehensive and covers a nice spread of applications.
