Top 10 mobile web products of 2008

The mobile web was huge this year – the iPhone app store in particular introduced a flurry of new mobile applications. Read Write Web have compiled a post on their Top 10 mobile web products of 2008…some of them seem to be US centric but out of their list the following three products have most definitely been adopted by many South Africans and have boosted overall mobile web usage.

Twitter – the short, light, messaging nature of this popular web product meant that it moved quickly onto cell phones.

Fring - The ability to aggregate all your IM platforms into one easy to use application and use VOIP means that many of us are now able to share, talk and chat on the go.

Opera Mini/Mobile – Arguably the best mobile web browser available.
