Amazon releases Kindle source code

When it was launched Jeff Bezos said that the Kindle Reader and the Kindle were two separate businessed – true to this statement Mashable is reporting that Amazon has released the source code for the 1st gen Kindle, the new Kindle and the Kindle DX.

This means that in future we’re likely to see a few Kindle clones that will certainly improve on the current device.
