Opera Software have released their State of the Mobile Web report, most significant is the fact that South Africa has jumped to 6th place in terms of mobile usage.

The report takes a look at the breadth of the mobile web. You might call this the Long Tail, a trend that in the case of our report shows the importance and strength of niche sites on the mobile Web. This month, usage of the mobile Web saw significant growth in Ukraine, which jumped to 4th place, and South Africa, which jumped to 6th place in the top 10 list of countries, displacing China and the United States respectively.
