Evan Ratliff from Wired.com is doing an interesting experiment which they have turned into an online sleuthing competition of sorts to win $5000. Evan is going missing for 30 days….he’s truly trying to disappear.

“I’m going missing. I’m leaving behind friends, family, and everything familiar, and I’m challenging you to find me. If you do, you’ll win $5,000 and get your picture in Wired.”
Wired are posting clues to his whereabouts and you can follow Evan on twitter….he’s using IP blockers and various other tactics in an attempt to stay hidden. It’s a really interesting social experiment supported by a highly complex detective challenge for those who are smart (bored? i.e have the time) enough to hack it.
