Skinput is a conceptual technology that recognises your finger taps on skin. So far it is only limited to the hand and arm, but the clever geeks at Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft are developing further enhancements. This technology requires the user to wear a specific arm band which measures the pressure, acceleration and force of your tapping. Skinput also uses a pico-projector to create menu-like images on your arm, so that you know where you’re going.

Looks like Apple’s iPhone technology is starting to get a bit old … imagine dialing your phone or accessing iTunes off your palm. Hmmm, something to think about!!
